Penny is an experienced coach and facilitator with a special interest in transitions. She has a long-standing commitment to personal and organisational development. She works with senior leaders across private, public and voluntary sectors. A key aspect of her work is in helping others see the importance of their relationships and their context within work and life as a whole.
Penny holds an MA in Professional Coaching from i-coach academy and Middlesex University incorporating a research project exploring the role and value of coaching for senior leaders experiencing significant career transitions.
Prior to establishing her coaching practice Penny had 20 years of leadership experience in the Local Authority and the NHS most recently as a Primary Care Trust (PCT) Chief Executive. She has delivered challenging performance and financial targets including turnaround experience as an Interim Chief Executive.
She finds time spent with friends and family important and increasingly ensures she has time for this. Her re-balancing of work commitments includes making time to learn new things and build on long-standing interests.
She has long been a keen garden developer. She enjoys finding and exploring new places to walk. Another life-long interest is social history and she is currently reading about the Silk Road, learning about its trade and slave route history. Penny also plans to learn Italian and is keen to build up her photography skills.
